More 15mm US Moderns done

A few updates to my 15mm US moderns...been quite bust recently with uni work that haven't had the time to do any painting at all...but have recently just got a hell of a lot of coursework out of the way and fancied a bit of light relief until other deadlines start creeping up on me so I thought I'd crack on with these guys...

Just to fill you in on where all the bits have come from:
- Humvees from Irish Serb, excellent models and good price (though I believe Peter Pig do some now as well, something that they were lacking when I was shopping)
- Troops and vehicle crews from Peter Pig (the crews are converted)
- Aircraft are 1/144 scale plastic kits bought on-line
Close up of crew figure manning M248...the crew figures were converted from standard Peter Pig US infantry, the legs were hacked off and filed smooth and the webbing on the rear was also filed down so they they fitted in the turrets...

Close up of crew figure manning .50cal MG...

Close up of crew figure with M16...I thought it was a nice pose to have out the top of a humvee...

A convoy advancing across the desert...

Another close up of the crew figure with M16...

The humvees that have crew figures...

Some close ups...

Small recce patrol advancing across the desert...

Humvee with .50cal in overwatch...

Blackhawks over the desert...

Recce patrol and Blackhawk...

A-10 Warthog :D

A-10 providing fast air support for a front line recce patrol...

Next to be completed are my 2 sniper teams...and the rest of the US Infantry (24 strong) I have are all base coated waiting for the long process of camouflage application...small batches at a time me thinks

  1. Great looking figures. I noticed FLashpoint miniatures have just brought plastic 15mm Blackhawks. I may need to get a few.
